Evolence
Evolence is a newly approved collagen-based cosmetic therapy for reducing wrinkles and smoothing the skin, particularly on the face. The difference between Evolence and the traditional, bovine-based collagen treatment is that Evolence uses collagen that it is made of more natural substances that mix more readily with the body’s naturally produced collagen.
In the realm of services offered by plastic surgeons, using Evolence can be more effective than liposuction or breast augmentation for increasing self-worth, making a person look younger, and creating a noticeable improvement in happiness and sense of self-assurance.
It’s a relatively simple procedure, and many patients feel it’s a very worthwhile way to increase their feelings of value and self-confidence.
The Evolence treatment is a breakthrough technology, as it is a giant step forward in reversing moderate and even deep facial wrinkles and folds, including the large fold between the nose and mouth (nasolabial fold) that deepens with age and stress.
The therapy, produced exclusively by Glymatrix Technology, does not require a pre-test, like traditional collagen treatments, and lasts for a longer time than any other collagen injectables. People can see immediate results from the treatment, and the procedure produces no swelling and very little bruising. This makes it possible to better gauge the amount of correction and avoid too much or too little correction.
Many people choose to have a Evolence treatment to accomplish much the same thing that a facelift would accomplish without the invasive plastic surgery. Since the Evolence treatment is effective at reducing even moderately deep wrinkles and folds, many people continue to use the treatment for several years rather than turning to surgery.
The product is injected with an extremely fine needle into the skin, replacing the lost collagen where moderate and deep wrinkles are evident. Sometimes the provider does use a local anesthetic to minimize pain from the procedure.
The effects of Evolence are immediately noticeable, and there is no recovery period after the treatment. Clinical tests have shown that the treatments last for up to six months, and data is being collected on 12-month tests.
Most dermal (skin) fillers use hyaluronic acid (HA) to mix with the collagen. The HA absorbs water, and that creates the filling effect of the collagen treatment. By contrast, Evolence is actually a real structural agent, it actually builds the cell and collagen frameworks in patients’ skin. It does not use harsh chemical agents to cross-link the structures, as are found in other products, but instead uses D-Ribose, a natural sugar, for the process.
These natural processes not only increase the durability and smoothing results that come from a Evolence treatment, but also allows for the minimal negative effects, such as swelling and bruising. While other treatments use bovine collagen, Evolence is based on porcine collagen, the closest to humans in genetic makeup. It has been used for many years for medical procedures such as heart valve replacement.
As with other products, it’s important to be cautious if you have severe collagen allergies or a history of anaphylactic shock.
